I have been under Dr. Glaser's care for well over 10 years and have had procedures + therapy to keep my back pain in check for most of the time. I typically would have an RF ablation done every 18-24 months combined with other injections.  I had an ablation done this past June and it brought some relief but over the last year I had developed continual pain in my lower back that was not getting resolved.  Dr Glaser introduced me to "Intracept" and, an MRI showed that I was a candidate for this procedure. I had the procedure done (outpatient) and I was completely functional later in the day. The recovery process was as expected, minimal discomfort (some incision pain) and over the next 2-3 weeks, little by little my lower back pain was completely eliminated. There is a wealth of information on Intracept and the great team at Boston Scientific provided great support throughout. Dr. Glaser has been able to keep me away from surgery and while I don't generally believe in silver bullets, this certainly feels like one.  I can't say enough about Dr. Glaser and his team of professionals + the research he continually does on innovative new ways to help his patients.  I highly recommend this to anyone who suffers from chronic lower back pain.

My mom, Joni turned 71 this past December and has suffered with horrible back problems for a majority of her adult life. This last year or so it got the worse it's ever been. She could no longer stand up straight, she was quite literally was walking at a 90° angle. It affected every aspect of her life from daily chores to breathing. She couldn't walk 15 feet without needing to rest and the pain was so excruciating it hurt me just having to watch. She couldn't even straighten up to hang up clothes. Dr. Glaser recommended she have something called the Minuteman procedure. He described the success he had seen in other patients and thought it would help my mom a lot. My mom was all for it, however, I was wary of her having any kind of surgical back procedure done. I went with her to one of her appointments and heard him describe the benefits. In the end we were both sold on the idea. Well, it's been 15 days and my mom is doing wonderful! It's truly a miracle. She no longer walks crippled over or even needs assistance from a cane. Don’t wait! I was to the point I just couldn’t get through my day, I couldn’t get the things done that I had to do. My legs were so weak and painful, especially with any activity. This time I really felt like age was catching up with me. Because of several medical issues other than my back I had to put off getting an injection and as time went on I was resolving to believe there wasn’t much hope. I put on 10 pounds and was only looking forward to the end of each day. Dr Glaser has given me injections before and they helped but this time I really felt I was beyond what he could help with. Had my injection last week. I can now walk where I want to and as long as I want to. He is so good at what he does. Have had injections from at least 3 other doctors but never had these results. Dr.Scott Glaser has by far been the best Pain specialist I've yet to see in all the years I've been managing my pain and going to different pain clinics.  He actually cares and actually does not stop until he finds the root of the problem!! I have been suffering for over 25 years with spinal stenosis, herniated disks, bulging disks, and the worst sciatic nerve pain any person should ever have to endure.  Dr.Glaser is very knowledgeable about his medical practice and I did my share of research before I came to him with all of my pain issues. He has helped me tremendously ,  and I, ONE MILLION PERCENT recommend him to EVERYONE AND ANYONE whom you may know who suffers in pain as I have throughout more then half of my pain ridden life. I was introduced to Dr. Glaser through a friend who highly recommended Dr. Glaser as the "Best Pain Specialist in Illinois" She stated "Dr. Glaser actually cared for you and listened to your pain situations." I was grateful for the recommendation, but I doubted her referral because I had visited so many other doctors who did not listen nor did they care when I complained of the pain areas in my body. As I do with all previous and current doctors - I searched his patient reviews and complaints - all good and there were no complaints. I suffered from severe pain in my entire body for 15+ years with excruciating pain extending from Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and Osteoarthritis combination. My value in life had simply diminished and I just wanted to die. I was so tired of being in pain every day. No social life. I could not work, and my marriage was deteriorating heading for divorce because I did not want to do anything but stay in bed and just suffer. After a while, staying in bed became too painful. I experienced so many years of suffering. People said that I was lazy and "imagining" the muscle pain in my muscles, knees, lumbar, tendons, and joints. One day - I decided to take my friend's advice and I contacted Dr. Glaser's office to set up an appointment for a new patient's initial consultation. I believe the first impression of an individual is everything. For me, I can see into a person's soul through their eyes. Dr. Glaser treated me as a person, not someone complaining of pain untruthfully. Dr. Glaser diagnosed my pain management plan through MRIs and other diagnostic tests. After reviewing all my testing, urine, and diagnosis results. Dr. Glaser immediately suggested a pain management plan designed just for me right away to help alleviate the pain in the areas complained. I followed every word of his pain management plan and trusted his plan suggestions, and my God - I am so glad I did! As a result, after only three to four weeks of visiting Dr. Glaser, and trusting his pain management method. I have gotten out of that dreadful miserable bed to look for part-time work online to get my life back that was stolen from me many years ago. I am now visiting my friends and family, walking my dogs daily with ease, and I am almost back to myself now that my pain is manageable or there is no pain, and I can have a social life. My marriage has gotten better. My husband tells me that I smile more now since visiting Dr. Glaser. I told him that when a person is in pain - they are irritable and have no reason to smile. This is the absolute truth. I don't know how many times I can say it - I am so grateful that I have my life back thanks to Dr. Glaser. It took me a long time to find a good, decent, caring pain specialist. Dr. Glaser comes highly recommended in my book. You will not be disappointed with Dr. Glaser. While I still do experience minor pain and aches in my legs and feet areas, although absolutely nothing like it was before. I believe in time if continuing to work with Dr. Glaser on his pain management plan this will soon improve. I strongly trust Dr. Glaser's pain techniques and pain recommendations. While I know that I will never be 100% pain-free because of my other auto-immune diagnosis. I believe having a pain management plan is most helpful in managing your pain so there are no restrictions on your life or livelihood. Dr. Glaser restored my social life and my marriage, and I am blessed and profoundly grateful to Dr. Glaser. Dr. Glaser is an old-school personality style doctor who does not have other individuals (strangers) in the room with you while you are discussing your pain and personal business. Dr. Glaser is respectful of his patients' needs and takes notes on his laptop. Dr. Glaser and his team keep records of each visit, so you do not have to repeat yourself over and over. I would like to say to Dr. Glaser - Thank you and your team for all you have done and are still doing for me!  Again, thank you, thank you, and thank you!

I want to share my great experience.  I've been dealing with leg and back pain for at least 2 years.  i was referred to Doctor Glaser, Maria and David.   They are all pleasant, professional and they have your best interest in dealing with pain.  They are so helpful and listen to you to determine the best way to put your pain under control.  They take their time with you and don't rush the appointment.  The staff that welcomes you is also very pleasant.  I can't say "Thank You" enough to the doctor and his great staff....they are the best!

Dr.Glaser is a great doctor he goes above and beyond to help in any way possible to get your pain under control. Before going to see Dr. Glaser I've seen two other doctors for back pain. After 4 years of injections and ablation. I feel into the injection didn't work they just make it worse. I went to Dr. Glaser office from a friend's recommendation - I had no hope since he wanted to do same same thing, but after year of the same procedure the other doctors did I finally got relief. Before giving up on injection give Dr. Glaser a chance.

This was an answer to prayer. I was at my wits end with pain radiating down both legs, not to mention the terrible pain in my back. I told Dr. Glaser that he had to do something, I can't continue to live with this pain any longer. He suggested the Nervo Spinal cord stimulator. This device has changed my life. I no longer have ANY pain going down my legs and my general pain has been reduced by 70%,as well as my pain meds by 50%. After years of bedside nursing my back was destroyed. I went through all of the steps, therapy, small surgeries, eventually a fusion. I was sent to doctor after doctor. No longer able to walk through an airport, sit at my desk, sleep through the night, carry groceries, walk the dog, bake a cake, I was so sad.  I had to give up direct patient care and my life became smaller and smaller. Being very active by nature I felt like my life was pretty much over and would be spending my days reading and watching TV. I developed severe rheumatoid arthritis and my rheumatologist sent me to Dr. Glaser. With their help I can now keep up at work, enjoy my grandson's football games and travel again. I am so grateful. I wanted to take a moment to praise Dr. Glaser, Maria (nurse practitioner) and the entire staff. When I was first referred to Dr. Glaser, I was experiencing severe pain from Fibromyalgia and he found that I had bursas in both shoulders. I could not lift my arms above my waist and was in chronic pain all the time.  After treatment and pain medication, I am now able to lift my arms over my head and my pain is managed. During the pandemic when appointments were difficult (to say the least), Dr. Glaser and Maria held virtual visits with me so that they were able to keep my treatment consistent. But, to me the most important thing about Dr. Glaser and his staff is that I know they really care. They are kind, compassionate and let you know that they want to do whatever is necessary to help you. They take the time you need to go over how you're feeling and they try different treatments and various medications until they hit on the right combination that works for the individual. Just wanted to tell everyone that both my husband and I absolutely love our Nurse Practioner, Maria Anderson!!! She is such a sweet, genuine, and caring person. I went to see Dr. Glaser yesterday (04.29.21).  I have been experiencing horrible diabetic nerve pain for years and have been prescribed many things that did not work.  Dr. Glaser talked to me and prescribed me something for my severe pain. Patient Art states he has suffered from neck pain since he was a child, the pain became worse when he was involved in a car accident years later.
